SUMMARY / PURPOSE OF JOB
The Clinical Liaison is responsible for growth and development of his / her assigned territory for inpatient admissions. The incumbent is responsible for marketing calls to appropriate referral sources in assigned territory and the ongoing assessment and recruitment of inpatient rehabilitation appropriate patients. Understands the role of employee's individual position regarding HIPAA requirements and level of access to Protected Health Information as defined in HIPAA hospital-wide policies.
JOB DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Builds and expands relationships with current and potential referral sources and patients in acute care hospitals to educate and develop understanding of Rehabilitation services
- Calls upon hospital / personnel, physicians and other potential referral sources to develop and manage relationships within designated territory to broaden the number of referral sources within a given hospital.
- Develops relationships, provides excellent customer service and educates referral sources on services provided by the hospital.
- Accountable for marketing goals and admissions on monthly basis.
- Coordinates and completes direct sales / business development appointments and marketing activities in cooperation with the marketing team
and supervisor
