Are you looking for a rewarding neonatology role that also supports a healthy work-life balance? Nestled in the scenic Ozark Mountains and near multiple lakes, our practice offers the ideal blend of professional fullfillment and personal flexibility.
We are a well-established team of 4 neonatologists and 5 NNPs. We have a manageable Level III NICU â” a place where youâ™ll care for a balanced-mix of patients without the high-volume burnout. Hospital-employed pediatricians handle routine newborn care, allowing you to focus on what you do best. Whether you're looking for a full-time role or part-time flexibility, we invite you to consider joining our team.
Your Work Schedule (Full-Time):
~2 weeks/month alternating between primary and backup neonatologist rolesPrimary neonatologistIn-house daytime coverage (8 a.m. â“ 4 p.m.) of primary patients and supervision of half of NNP patientsAt-home backup for in-house NNP overnightAttend high-risk deliveries (<27 weeks, major anomalies)Backup neonatologistShort in-house rounding (8 a.m. â“ 11 a.m.) on primary patients and supervision of half of NNP patientsAt-home availability for backup support of primary neonatologist emergenciesOur NICU at a Glance:
46-bed, Level III single-room design with average census of 25~ admits/year with 10% under gramsIn-house 24/7 NNP coverage (minimum 5 yearsâ™ Level III experience)High-frequency oscillators, jet ventilators, iNO (ECMO and cardiac patients are transferred to in-state Level IV regional NICUs)Total body cooling with 24/7 video EEG and pediatric neurology supportPOCUS with bedside ultrasound availableDonor milk + dedicated milk tech preparation of feedingsEPIC and Baby Steps Cloud EMRsDedicated procedural nurses: delivery attendance, intubation, umbilical and PIC line placement, NICU transport (air and ground)NICU-dedicated SLP/PT/OT/RT/pediatric pharmacy 7 days/weekAbout Springfield, Missouri:
