IT Director

The Director of Information Systems and Technology (IT) holds the responsibility of leading the Information Systems Services Ministry in supporting other ministries, operational services, and organizational functions of Grace Bible Church (GBC). This role strategically utilizes technology to advance the church's missionembracing principles of Grace, Humility, and Teamworkto foster discipleship, strengthen community, and serve the church body with excellence.

Specific Qualifications:

• Experience leading teams in an IT environment.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (bachelor's degree preferred)
• Minimum of five years of experience in IT leadership, systems management, or technical project management
• Technical certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS, or Unifi Routing, Switching, & Cybersecurity Admin (URSCA) are highly preferred
• Manage and maintain a secure and reliable network infrastructure across multiple sites, leveraging cloud technologies.
• Proficient in AWS and Microsoft Cloud services, including AWS DNS management, and experienced Office 365 administration, Exchange administration, and SharePoint/OneDrive management, ensuring secure and efficient cloud-based operations across the organization.
• Experience managing firewalls, switches, and hybrid network configurations to support multi-site environments, with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
• Skilled in MS SQL Server management, with expertise in MS Reporting Services, Data Transformation Services, and other SQL Server DBA tools. Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, deduce trends, and generate insightful reports.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra and Intune for identity management and device security, supporting a cloud-first approach within a multi-site setup.
• Experience supporting RockRMS Church Management Systems, ensuring data consistency and operational efficiency.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, fostering team collaboration and successful project delivery.
• Web site and front-end management experience is a plus, along with scripting in Lava (a significant advantage), to customize and enhance church systems and websites.

General Responsibilities:

• Oversight of the Church's data management and technology systems, including staying current with emerging technologies.
• Supervise Data and Application Support Specialist.
• Develop, implement, and oversee cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
• Provide technical leadership and support for the Church Management System and related databases, including designing complex solutions, performing routine data cleansing, and assisting with new module implementation.
• Train and support staff and end users through documentation, staff guides, workflows, and hands-on assistance, while serving as the primary help desk resource.
• Create custom reports, lists, and data analysis tools such as spreadsheets and graphs to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and IT inventory, along with overseeing the department budget.
• Facilitate IT team meetings, recruit and lead IT volunteers across campuses, and perform ministerial duties as needed to support the church's mission.
