The CMM Programmer will develop CMM inspection programs for new and existing products using PC DMIS software. Will conduct and document first article inspections and capability analysis to support our PPAP programs. Support quality improvement efforts, Internal Auditing and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Participate in project kick-off teams improving quality aspects of product introduction, and have a fundamental understanding of quality systems, SPC, and control plans.
- Create CMM programs using part drawings or models
- Troubleshoot and / or amend existing CMM programs
- Take critical measurements using gauges, fixtures and other measurement tools.
- Interpret inspection results.
- Maintain safe and accurate equipment operations
- Keep accurate, clear, and concise records and reports. Follow production schedule and standards.
- CMM programming experience with PC DMIS or similar software
- Understanding of GD&T
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong command of written and verbal English
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, from production associates to senior leaders.
