Job Description
Charlotte, NC based manufacturer is seeking an experienced Process Engineer. This position is responsible for making the production operations operate to the full extent of their technical capabilities. Specific tasks include equipment modification, process design, trouble shooting, and operations improvement through innovation.
The ideal candidate is a self-directed engineer who is never satisfied with the status quo and uses a methodical, data-based approach to drive improvements. A well-rounded generalist who can draw on the expertise of the existing team and enjoys contributing his / her specific expertise to the team will thrive in this position.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support production.
Troubleshoot production and quality issues.
Liaise closely with the Sales and R&D personnel to understand requirements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
An undergraduate degree in engineering combined with 3-5 years exposure to process engineering in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working in our Charlotte manufacturing facility will require a high degree of interaction with all aspects of the business, especially equipment operators and maintenance. Occasional travel to supplier / customers and occasional weekend / evening support of manufacturing operations may be asked.
