Work you'll do:

  • Develop executive messaging, presentations, talking points, leadership communications, and strategic technology narratives aligned to the overall technology strategy.
  • Translate complex technology, business, and organizational topics into clear, compelling communications.
  • Drive program leadership: Track critical actions, decisions, and commitments to ensure follow-through and completion in a timely manner.
  • Builds and manages a proactive executive editorial calendar that gives leadership a clear, forward-looking view of communication dates and materials.
  • Develop high-quality external communications materials, including written articles, executive briefs, talking points, and other thought leadership content, that elevate Deloitte's eminence in the marketplace.
  • Create scalable communications frameworks, templates, and best practices that enable effective planning, execution, review, and measurement of executive communications activities.
  • Develop clear, concise, and action-oriented technology communications for Deloitte TechnologyUS that have broad impact across the US firms.
  • Report out on communications metrics using dashboards.
  • Create compelling content that promotes DT-US tools and services to targeted audiences and supports awareness, understanding, and adoption.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure technical information is accurate, relevant, and easy for end users to understand.
  • Partner with product development and delivery teams to understand new features, enhancements, and updates, and translate them into effective end-user communications.
  • Facilitate clear communication and alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Communicate DT-US project timelines, milestones, and updates to appropriate stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Media and Communications leadership on communication and engagement strategies.
  • Support technology crisis and incident communications, including escalating urgent technology matters to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams across DT-US and ensure alignment with Deloitte marketing, branding, and internal communications guidance.
  • Lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while maintaining quality and timeliness.
  • Respond to and follow up on requests and questions, connecting internal clients and colleagues with the appropriate resources as needed.
  • Manage the development of key communications materials for internal clients, including writing, editing, and final review.

Overview of the work you'll do:

Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required. Supervision typically consists of receiving direction on the more complex projects and new job duties and priorities. The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships across teams
  • Ability to lead projects or workstreams
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Apply sound business judgment to shape recommendations and drive informed decision-making
  • Connect activities across teams and initiatives to ensure leadership messaging and actions align
  • Ability to meet deadlines and proactively manage timeline risks
  • Ability to provide clear guidance to others

Qualifications Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • 8+ years of relevant, progressively responsible experience
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with senior executives
  • Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups (technical subject matter specialists to business owners), with the ability to present complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to the audience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint; Working knowledge of professional social media platforms (LinkedIn) and basic HTML; Familiarity with AI tools and effective prompt-writing techniques to support research, content development, and productivity

Travel: Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

No sponsorship: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a communications role in a technology or professional services organization
  • Experience supporting CIOs, CTOs, or technology transformation programs
  • Experience developing communications for senior technology executives
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly understand complex organizational dynamics.
