Job Summary :
Must be able to commute to Burbank, CA and / or Irvine on a hybrid work model (Tues / Wed / Thurs office days). Reports into Burbank as homebase about 95% of the time.
Reporting to the Director, Community, the Community Projects Manager is an exciting role in the ever-growing success of SEGA's many IPs and brands globally across various businesses, including games, consumer products, animation, and beyond.
The Community Projects Manager will support the Social Media, Influencers, and Community teams by managing and supporting large-scale, cross-functional and cross-platform programs that drive the strategic goals of the Community at SEGA.
You will serve as the bridge between critical business functions, delivering on the end-to-end scoping, planning, execution, and launch of initiatives to support the day-to-day operations of the Community at SEGA. This highly organized individual must come with experience working with cross functional teams and high level executives, and be able to work with and influence stakeholders across entire organizations throughout SEGA.
The ideal candidate for this role has a minimum of two to four years of Project, Program and / or Community Management experience in the gaming or consumer product industry and is passionate about games and players.
Duties And Responsibilities :
- Work with brand marketing, social media, community, public relations, and development teams in the Americas, EMEA, and Japan to drive the overarching day-to-day workflow that powers Community and campaigns for brands like ATLUG, RGG and SONIC.
- Collaborate with the wider teams regularly, identifying opportunities for engaging and facilitating cross function opportunities that will resonate with fans of SEGA brands.
- Lead complex cross-functional teams across Community, Influencers, and Social Media, managing multiple campaigns simultaneously and ensuring successful delivery while sometimes navigating abstract challenges.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to establish and maintain strategic alignment, communicate project status, and manage expectations.
- Develop and execute program plans and schedules to achieve targeted performance metrics that align with executive-level expectations.
- Be curious, anticipate and navigate obstacles and skillfully negotiate changes with cross-functional stakeholders at every stage from early concept through to launch.
- Streamline best-practices for projects, workflows etc. and make recommendations on the best structure
- Support internal global teams across Licensing, Partnerships and Brand, along with key external partners (Film / TV / Streaming / Animation / Business Partners) with Community support
- Other duties as assigned.
- Working in-office is an essential function of this position. This requirement of face-to-face interaction is in place to ensure effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork. In-office attendance is required for the following reasons :
For effective supervision of employees and our work product, which includes ensuring all employees have necessary oversight of their work and access to supervisory assistance, which includes meetings to review work product, deadlines, and status.
