As a Component Engineer, your role will be pivotal in assisting both internal and external customers with manufacturing engineering challenges, offering innovative solutions, and managing electronic obsolescence with creativity and efficiency. As a Component Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Assisting both internal and external customers with manufacturing engineering challenges in a legacy aerospace environment.
- Utilizing strong and diverse technical skills to interpret specifications, troubleshoot production and procurement issues, and manage electronic obsolescence.
- Employing creativity and innovation in reverse engineering, understanding legacy production methods and technologies, and achieving qualifications to MIL-810 and RCA DO-160 standards.
- Demonstrating advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills, along with excellent technical writing capabilities.
- Working hands-on, advising, and training suppliers and production personnel on various programs including radar, electronic accessories, satcom, and lighting, showcasing the Component Engineer’s expertise in specialized legacy aircraft parts production.
Component Engineer Key Essentials:
- A BS in electrical, systems, or related scientific field, or equivalent military experience.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of innovative
- problem-solving and project success.
- Proficiency in CAD and mechanical design software, with a strong ability to navigate and
- innovate within the aerospace manufacturing sector.
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team, as well as with
- external partners.
- Deep understanding of military and commercial aircraft contracting processes and standards.
Compensation: Salary range of $90-$130k + an annual performance-based bonus and benefits, based on experience and qualifications.
