What the Role Involves:

As a Refrigeration Construction Apprentice, youll be responsible for learning the installation and renovation of commercial refrigeration systems that are installed in supermarkets, convenience stores, and food service establishments.

• Work in construction atmosphere, maintain job cleanliness, rough-in insulation.
• Demonstrate use of power tools, proper completion of timecards, and transportation to job sites.
• Work on all types of installation of refrigeration equipment with Journeyman or higher lever technician until able to work on this equipment without supervision.
• Ability to work on roofs, outdoors, mechanical rooms, inside supermarkets, walk in coolers, and freezers through all seasons of the year.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, Journeymen, Supervisors, and Managers.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid State Driver's license.

The Ideal Candidate:

• One year of construction experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Must have good mechanical experience and skills
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated and a professional attitude
• Ability to perform the job in a safe manner
• Must completely fill out and submit all job required work orders, forms, and documents.
• Must adhere to all customer requirements, consistently log in and out of work order tracking system portals.
• Ability to use laptop and smart phone.
• Adhere to Hillphoenix safety program, policies, and procedures.
• Travel Work shifts vary and are driven by project requirements. Willingness and ability to travel on occasion in and out of state, work overtime, holidays, nights and weekends as required by varying jobs and on call schedule.
