Perez Morris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our Toledo office. The ideal candidate will have first-chair trial experience, a deep understanding of medical-legal issues, and a proven track record of handling high-stakes cases from inception through verdict.
Key Responsibilities :
- Minimum four years of experience handling medical malpractice defense litigation.
- Experienced trial lawyer with regular appearances in court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
- Skilled in all aspects of litigation strategy from drafting pleadings, responding to written discovery motions and discovery demands, preparing motions, to negotiating settlements and preparing witnesses for trial.
- Trusted advisor to insurers and corporate clients, serving as primary contact for claims professionals, providing case assessments, litigation plans, and status reports.
- Must be able to work independently on an assigned caseload.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.
- Values collaboration and diverse perspectives and can work with a team to creatively solve problems.
