Summary : Designs detail custom drawings of screens and feeders for use in manufacturing by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design all models of screens / feeders and detail drawings for production use utilizing AutoCad and Inventor.
- Compare job file from Sales with job spec sheet and overall drawing, and then notify Engineering Manager / Sales of any discrepancies.
- Assist Senior Designers with detailing of production drawings.
- Assist with designing and detailing repair drawings when needed.
- Generate technical information utilizing engineering formulas.
- Calculate all weights to get vibrating weight and gross weight for Engineering formulas, manufacturing, and shipping documentation.
- Take out new part numbers from ERP (Navision) system for new production and repair drawings, create Item Cards.
- Create manufacturing documents in ERP (Navision) system.
- Submit drawings to the Checker and Engineering V.P. for edits, if necessary.
- Revise production documents and drawings as needed; notify M.I.S. Department and Purchasing Department of any related info that pertains to their departments for the revision.
- Work with Purchasing on ordering special or long lead time materials.
- Answer shop related questions on drawings.
- Populate pertinent search libraries for new drawings.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have experience working with design software programs AutoCAD and Inventor.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE 2-year Associate’s Degree preferred, but not required; six to twelve months’ related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine documents and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in electronic, written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
