Overview

Join the team at Hill Bros. Transportation as a full-time Customer Service Representative in our Bulk Logistics division. You'll serve as the vital communication link between our customers, drivers, and operations teams-ensuring smooth freight movements and exceptional customer experiences.

This is an entry-level position perfect for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments. No prior logistics experience required -we provide comprehensive training!

What You'll Do

Customer Communication & Service

  • Proactively communicate truck arrivals and delivery updates to customers via phone and email
  • Respond to customer inquiries in real time with accurate, professional information
  • Address scheduling issues and resolve problems quickly to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships through responsive service

Appointment Scheduling & Coordination

  • Set and reschedule pickup and delivery appointments using computer systems
  • Coordinate with customers and drivers to optimize scheduling and minimize delays
  • Balance customer needs with operational constraints to maximize efficiency
  • Monitor appointment status and proactively address conflicts
  • Data Management & System Accuracy

  • Enter load information and customer data into systems accurately and in real time
  • Build and maintain comprehensive customer profiles with facility details and directions
  • Research and prevent duplicate customer codes to maintain data integrity
  • Close out completed loads and ensure all documentation is properly recorded
  • Technical & Administrative Support

  • Conduct EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) auditing for accuracy
  • Maintain website information and update content as needed
  • Ensure drivers have accurate directions and facility-specific information
  • Support systems that enhance customer communication and operational efficiency
  • Requirements

  • Preferred :

  • Customer service experience in any industry
  • Experience with data entry or administrative coordination
