Job description

Supplier Qualification and MRB Quality Engineer – Composites

Do you love turning data into decisive action? Are AS9100/ISO 9001 second nature to you? Have you led MRB decisions and partnered with suppliers in a composites environment? If you’re nodding yes, you might be the teammate we’re looking for.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Represent Quality on cross-functional teams, ensuring contractual obligations and QMS requirements are embedded in proposals, processes, and documents.
  • Clarify and communicate quality requirements to engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Build quality metrics and draft program quality plans, including design and production certification plans for small programs, to satisfy company, customer, contractual, and regulatory standards.
  • Execute supplier capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection and qualification.
  • Support manufacturing and test readiness via process analysis, testing, inspections, and audits.
  • Analyze nonconformance trends and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Lead MRB activities to evaluate, document, and disposition nonconformances in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Recommend, develop, and deploy effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Advance continuous improvement that boosts product quality, process efficiency, throughput, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations, suppliers, and other groups to resolve quality issues and strengthen processes.
  • Maintain complete and accurate quality records, documentation, metrics, and data.
  • Ensure processes and documentation stay aligned with customer, contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Promote a culture grounded in quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and adherence to procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe; comply with all safety practices and PPE usage.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years in quality engineering or an equivalent quality role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related) preferred; or 5+ years of relevant quality/engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong preference for experience in composites manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 preferred.
  • Depth in nonconformance management, corrective actions, process validation, audits, and quality metrics.
  • Analytical problem-solver skilled in root cause and corrective action planning.
  • Professional English communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Comfort working across functions and influencing without authority.
  • Organized, detail-focused, and able to prioritize independently with minimal oversight.
  • Commitment to safety, housekeeping, and proper PPE use.

How You Work

  • Operate with minimal oversight from the Quality Manager or a Quality Engineer III while staying closely aligned to business priorities.

Responsibilities and priorities may be adjusted based on business and operational needs.
