Overview
Reporting into the VP of Product and Portfolio Management, the Director, Product Management is responsible for oversight, direction, and delivery of IT projects in the AmTrust portfolio, ensuring consistency with AmTrust’s strategy and vision, commitments, and overall goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of IT projects in incremental iterations to continually maximize flexibility, efficiency, and outcomes.
- Lead a team of 7 to 10 product managers and business analysts that collaborate with product owners to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements for the IT delivery teams and monitor the software development activities.
- Aligning resources supporting prioritized objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate progress at each stage of the implementation process.
- Manage communication with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Design and implement procedures with a focus on improving quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other Product Management leaders to apply centralized solutions to benefit a broader group of stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5 years+ experience managing product managers, project managers, and/or business analysts
- Preferred: 1-3 years insurance experience
- Proven leadership experience in implementation management in the information technology sector
- Experience with software development methodologies and models designed to alter or develop software products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel up to 15%
