Job descriptionProvide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Meet the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and their families. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient conditions and responses to treatment. Conduct thorough assessments and reassessments of all patients. Manage pain effectively and educate patients and families on pain management techniques. Administer medications safely and according to established protocols. Formulate and revise patient care plans based on clinical symptoms. Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical services as needed. Ensure patient safety and optimize care environments. Maintain clear communication with all team members and notify physicians of any changes in patient conditions. Educate patients and families on disease processes and care plans. Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of employment. Handle with Care (HWC) certification within 6 months of hire. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
