Job Description
Akelius is seeking an experienced energy manager to join the Construction team.
The energy manager is responsible for identifying, reporting, and implementing energy-saving opportunities for Akelius properties and future acquisitions.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze building utility consumption and cost data
- Evaluate building potential prior to acquisition
- Manage energy and water efficiency audits
- Recommend measures for reducing utility consumption
- Plan and implement measures with asset management and construction team
- Measure and verify savings from implemented measures
- Conduct trainings for construction and property staff
- Support the development of efficiency guidelines and standards
- Manage energy projects implementation
- Monitor energy focused incentives and rebates
- Submit energy focused incentives and rebates
- Assist in inspections of properties
- Complete various energy related reporting
- Perform other duties as assigned
