Description
The Forensic Project Manager will manage individual client projects and serve as a team member on complex matters. The role will support all project management activities required for the Forensics component of projects under the Global Investigations practice group. The Forensic Project Manager will document all project requirements and will coordinate the initiation, planning, and execution of each phase of a project’s lifecycle. The Forensic Project Manager is responsible for ensuring client requirements are defined and met throughout the project, providing proactive and consultative support to clients and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities Include :
- Provides day-to-day management of individual projects, including daily updates and proactive involvement with clients and Epiq team members, and provides clear direction to other Forensic team members as additional collections are needed.
- Responsible for ensuring client requirements are clearly defined and met for all phases of Forensic projects.
- Must be able to manage most aspects of Forensics projects on an independent and self-directed basis, including the ability to anticipate downstream considerations such as timing implications for deadlines, consulting on best practices for Forensics, and raising concerns to internal stakeholders and clients at appropriate times.
- Ensures that proper quality control measures are in place on project deliverables via internal workflow management system and that appropriate checks are applied to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness for work completed by Forensics.
- Interact with vendors for some outside services, including involvement with vendor from initial scoping through completion of work and vendor billing.
- Works closely with collection resource coordinators, forensic consultants, and Senior Forensic Project Manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of all requests.
- Functioning as a backup for Senior Forensic Project Manager when not available or when workloads demand.
- Holds primary responsibility for identifying and tracking project details, timelines, and client satisfaction.
- Manages client communications (both oral and written) with an expectation that all communication must be clear, concise, and well-written.
- Holds primary responsibility for a smooth transition and / or hand-off to a Client Services Project Manager if and / or when the project requires data processing, hosting or document review services or the reverse - when a project that has required such services becomes a project that requires forensic and / or collection services
- Attending client calls including scoping, kick off, and status calls to understand and document project requirements and updates.
- Assisting with the creation of project cost estimates and tracking costs in real time to insure budget compliance, including change requests when additional costs are approved. Assisting with invoice review and billing questions from clients.
- Ensures project requirements and deadlines are met, takes appropriate action when such deadlines are in jeopardy of not being met.
- Communicates early and often with interested parties so that they are kept informed about important aspects of each project.
Job Requirements :
The Compensation range for this role is $90,000.00 to $105,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus.
