Job description

Join to apply for the FULL-STACK WEB DEVELOPER role at Nightforce Optics

Overview

Nightforce Optics is a leading manufacturer and marketer of premium sport optics products, including riflescopes, spotting scopes and accessories. Known for its rugged, reliable, and repeatable designs, Nightforce is the industry benchmark for high‑quality, high‑performance products. The company has been in business since 1992 and is committed to building the finest riflescopes on the market while serving hunters, professional shooters, and outdoor enthusiasts worldwide.

We want you to become part of our story! Nightforce Optics is seeking a skilled Full‑Stack Web Developer to join our creative marketing team and help bring our brand to life online. In this role you will build, maintain, and optimize our website to deliver a fast, seamless, and engaging user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable full‑stack web solutions that power the marketing website.
  • Implement interactive front‑end features using modern frameworks (e.g., React) and develop back‑end logic to support data flow, page rendering, and third‑party integrations.
  • Translate design mockups and marketing requirements into functional, responsive code that performs across devices and browsers.
  • Maintain clean codebases and reusable components to support ongoing improvements and content updates.
  • Optimize website performance and responsiveness, focusing on speed, uptime, and efficient resource use.
  • Identify and resolve bugs or inefficiencies affecting the user experience.
  • Conduct regular testing and performance audits to uphold high standards for site quality and reliability.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams (marketing, content, design, SEO, analytics) to align digital execution with campaign goals.
  • Clearly communicate timelines, blockers, technical limitations, and project status to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in sprint planning, team check‑ins, and collaborative development using tools like Slack, GitHub, and project management platforms.
  • Lead and manage technical aspects of marketing website projects—from planning and development to deployment and refinement.
  • Collaborate on digital strategies to support product launches, campaign rollouts, and ongoing site enhancements.
  • Help evaluate and select tools, services, and frameworks that best support long‑term site scalability and flexibility.
  • Set up and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Netlify, Vercel, or similar.
  • Ensure website deployments are stable, fast, and reversible, with minimal downtime or disruption.
  • Monitor site health and infrastructure to proactively address issues and scale resources during periods of high traffic.
  • Contribute to automated testing systems for regression protection and functionality assurance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of full‑stack web development experience with strong focus on front‑end performance and user experience.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React / Next.js or Vue.js.
  • Back‑end experience with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience working with APIs, headless CMS platforms, and cloud‑based services.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git), build tools, and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross‑browser compatibility.
  • Solid grasp of performance optimization, caching, and SEO fundamentals.
  • Experience instrumenting and analyzing sites with tools such as Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, or Hotjar.
  • Experience working within agile or iterative development environments.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in e‑commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, or custom solutions).
  • Exposure to DevOps tools like Docker, Netlify, or Vercel.
  • Experience with workflow automations in n8n, including webhooks that invoke internal and external tools.
  • Hands‑on experience with headless CMS solutions, preferably Strapi.
  • Background working in a product‑focused brand or consumer goods company.
  • Interest in outdoor products, firearms, or optics.

  • 401(k) match after one year of employment.
  • 4‑day work week.
  • Employee discount on scopes and Nightforce apparel.
