Job Overview

Adam Roe Painting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Painting Estimator (New Construction) to join our growing team in Meridian, Idaho. This is a key role responsible for producing accurate, competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects across Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, and Utah.

This is not an entry-level or residential estimating role. We are seeking an estimator with proven experience in commercial painting and coatings who can contribute immediately and grow long-term with the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial and industrial painting, coatings, and flooring projects

• Perform digital takeoffs using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar software

• Develop labor and material pricing based on production rates, job conditions, and scope

• Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks as required

• Review plans and specifications to clarify scope and risk

• Communicate with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams

• Track bids and analyze results to improve estimating accuracy

• Coordinate scope handoff with project managers after award

• Maintain and improve estimating templates and processes

• Strong communication with operations and clients

• Improved win rates and fewer post-award issues

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience estimating commercial painting or coatings (new construction preferred)

• Knowledge of coatings systems, surface preparation, and sequencing

• Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications

• Experience adjusting production rates based on job conditions

• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial coatings, epoxy flooring, or concrete coatings

• CRM or Google Workspace experience

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
