Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent education and experience
5-8 years of professional experience developing backend software applications in an enterprise environment
Expert-level proficiency in one or more of our core languages: JavaScript (preferrable), Java or Python, with meaningful production experience in at least one
Deep hands-on experience with message queuing and event streaming platforms
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver production-grade RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, with strong command of schema design, pagination, error handling, and API versioning strategies
Experience authoring meaningful unit tests, integration tests, and contract tests using frameworks such as JUnit, pytest, Jest, or equivalent
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form or via DRH applications
Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision
Preferred Qualifications
Strong command of distributed systems fundamentals: consistency models, partition tolerance, idempotency, backpressure, and observability
