NEWITY is America's Source for Small Business Capital, focused on empowering entrepreneurs with access to trusted loan solutions. We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our business development team.
We are seeking a seasoned self-starter to support our Head of Finance as we continue to expand our operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, preferably with a background in one of the Big 4 or other top-tier accounting firms. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work directly with the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations
- Prepare timely monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Prepare month-end and year-end closing process
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Perform accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Conduct various financial analyses to support decision-making
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Support the Head of Finance in financial planning and analysis
