To be considered for this opportunity, you must reside and be authorized to work within the United States. This is an on-site position with working hours from Monday to Friday, approximately 10 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM. Occasional on call / remote / weekend hours as required. This position requires candidates to be located within the Kentuckiana area. Relocation support is not available.
About This Role :
Join our dynamic team in Louisville, Kentucky, and play a vital hands-on role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fast-paced, automated distribution center. As our on-site Systems Administrator , you'll be the first point of contact for our end-users, providing crucial technical support in a predominantly Windows Active Directory environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining our critical hardware and software systems, robotics and automation equipment, contributing directly to our long-range plans with timely and cost-effective solutions that minimize impact on our daily operations.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Be the Go-To for User Support : Provide exceptional first-line technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving a wide range of hardware and software issues. Act as a knowledgeable liaison with hardware and software vendors when needed.
- IT Team Partner : Offer one-on-one coaching and promote cybersecurity awareness among our users. Partner with all teams to drive operational excellence.
- Maintain and Optimize Our Network : Implement, configure, administer, and support our Local Area Network, including meticulous maintenance of user and group profiles within Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Master Microsoft Technologies : Administer and support our Microsoft environment and ensure the smooth operation of Windows-based workstations (both PCs and laptops).
- Support Warehouse Operations : Provide essential technical assistance for our Warehouse Management Software to facilitate efficient troubleshooting.
- Safeguard Our Data : Implement and manage robust backup and recovery procedures and contribute to our disaster preparedness strategy.
- Keep Our Hardware Running Smoothly : Provide hands-on support for a variety of warehouse devices, including Android tablets, RF scanners, barcode printers, as well as desktop and laptop computers. Conduct preventative maintenance on thermal printers, projectors, and all IT related equipment.
- Manage Telecommunications : Configure phone endpoints (handsets and softphones) and perform basic troubleshooting of phone / network circuits. Manage network cabling as needed.
- Track and Manage Assets : Maintain accurate records of hardware assets and ensure software licensing compliance.
- Ensure System Reliability : Proactively monitor system performance, including tracking system resources. Respond promptly to system alerts to maintain smooth and efficient automated processes.
- Contribute to Business Success : Undertake any other functions necessary for the efficient operation of the IT department, as directed.
