Responsibilities
Following is a summary of what you can expect in this role :
- Provide anesthesia services for main OR patients requiring surgery and other procedures, ensuring they receive excellent care when they are at their most vulnerable.
- Main OR coverage
- Department manages approximately 10,000 cases per year
- Anesthetic management of patients undergoing surgical procedures and / or providing labor pain management
- Airway management
- Assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Answer questions about procedures and recovery, perform patient assessments, ensure the equipment is ready, prepare anesthetic for patients, monitor patient's vitals during surgery and oversee patient recovery
- Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement for patient care
- Work within a multidisciplinary team
- Additional duties as assigned by clinical or operational leadership

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :
Education :
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (BSN)
Preferred : Master of Medical Science in Anesthesiology
Licensure :
Completion of nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor

Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed provider group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 300 providers and 850 support staff who cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians and APPs provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students.
