Job Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled Oracle Developer with expertise in optimizing SQL statements and ensuring the performance, security, and availability of databases. The ideal candidate will have experience with Snowflake and Oracle databases, with a focus on transitioning from Snowflake to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role involves collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to develop and maintain database objects.

Responsibilities:

  • Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases by implementing best practices and optimizing database configurations.
  • Prepare documentations and specifications related to database structures, queries, and optimizations.
  • Profile server resource usage, and optimize and tweak as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
  • Develop and maintain existing Snowflake program units, ensuring their compatibility with the transitioning process to Oracle DB.
  • Assist with the implementation of new Snowflake program units and their migration to OCI.
  • Create consistent and high-performance database objects, including tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.
  • Participate in database design discussions and contribute to the optimization of database schemas.
  • Stay updated with Oracle's Cloud offerings, especially OCI, and contribute to the migration strategy from Snowflake to OCI.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Information Technology, with minimum 12+ Years of relevant experience. Proven experience as a Database Engineer or similar role, with a focus on SQL optimization and database performance tuning.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Oracle databases, with a willingness to transition from Snowflake to OCI.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
