Job Overview
As a Program Manager for Performance Gear & OGIO, you will have one of the most critical roles in the department. You will be a member of the team that develops and produces the best-in-class golf gear, lifestyle products and accessories. You will contribute to guiding our internal teams, ensuring the successful launch of new products on time. This role will help define long and short-term strategies, initiatives, and processes to help us achieve our goals. The Program Manager will interface with Design, Development, Quality, Purchasing, Sourcing, Demand Planning and other key stakeholders. You will serve as the expert in program execution, keeping teams focused on what is most critical. The Program Manager will lead a team of Project Managers and be responsible for the successful management of all PG&A inline and SMU programs and the global commercialization activities to launch new products. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of launching new products, programs and processes, while demonstrating the leadership qualities necessary for effectively leading both direct reports and cross-functional teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end processes for in-line, SMU, Tour and special projects to ensure an on-time delivery of product to expected delivery targets. End-to-end timeline is defined from initial product concept to delivery.
- Develop, drive, and maintain project schedules for new product introductions.
- Enforce project milestones and deadlines and assist with completion of critical deliverables.
- Facilitate and lead communication with cross-functional partners to ensure all product is buy ready.
- Lead weekly core team meetings with key stakeholders.
- Actively identify program risks and issues and work to mitigate risks across various departments and sources (i.e., transportation, planning, forecasting, commercialization etc.)
- Work with global regions to ensure all forecasts are readily available and entered systematically.
- Drive alignment across functions on risks and issues, with clear understanding of program implications and actionable steps to drive efficient resolution.
- Identify and track action items and assign tasks to appropriate team members.
- Facilitate project communication to core team, extended team, and senior management.
- Execute project plans : Work with peers to accomplish an assigned objective. Manage and coordinate the effort of those necessary to complete the project.
- Utilize system tools such as Asana, PLM, PLD and SAP.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently across multiple brands.
- Manage Project Manager's success in all global commercialization activities for Callaway and Ogio performance gear including offering management and sales sample execution.
- Manage Project Manager's success in launch of SMU programs
- Lead team of Project Managers, setting expectations for project development, communications, benchmark attainment, and tracking to ensure goals are met
- Perform people management responsibilities, including hiring, developing, delivering performance reviews, and providing feedback and coaching
- Other duties may be assigned.
Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent program management experience.
Previous experience managing new product development projects in consumer goods companies.
