Program Financial Analyst IV
The Program Financial Analyst IV serves as the lead program finance partner for the division, based in Carlsbad. In collaboration with the Program Management Office and cross-functional leaders, this role is responsible for developing detailed cost estimates, driving financial rigor, and analyzing overall program financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Support program managers in forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing key program financial metrics (Orders, Revenue, Gross Margin, Cash) with regular reporting to senior leadership
- Develop, maintain, and analyze Estimates at Complete (EACs), including tracking incurred costs and bottom?up, time?phased estimates to complete
- Serve as a subject matter expert on program finance processes, tools, and procedures; identify financial risks and opportunities and drive mitigation actions
- Provide clear, timely variance analysis against financial plans and forecasts
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with Program Management, Supply Chain, Accounting, Operations, and Engineering to support effective program execution and issue resolution
- Develop time-phased program baselines to track cost and schedule across a portfolio of programs
- Utilize data collection and reporting systems to generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
- Support annual planning and forecasting cycles, including revenue, margin, and cost development
- Contribute to proposal development, fact finding, audits, and negotiations as required
- Mentor junior analysts by reviewing work products, sharing best practices and providing guidance on policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in accounting or financial analysis with at least four (4) years in cost accounting or program finance.
- OR (12) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree
- OR (6) years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree
- OR (3) years of experience may be considered w/ a PhD
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred, but not required)
