Job description

Your Next Precision Challenge Starts Here

Imagine taking raw bar stock and transforming it into aerospace-grade components that keep the world moving. At Timken’s Aurora Bearing facility, we’re looking for a CNC professional who thrives on accuracy, keeps machines in peak condition, and pursues continuous improvement—especially on afternoon/second shift.

The Mission

Create precision parts on CNC lathes and mills while holding print-defined characteristics. You’ll program or operate equipment, validate first-piece quality, and manage repeatability through disciplined in-process checks.

How You’ll Execute

  • Program and/or run CNC equipment to machine I.D./O.D. features from bar stock, including facing, chamfering, grooving, and drilling.
  • Choose and swap arbors, fixtures, inserts, speeds/feeds, and tooling per blueprint specs.
  • Produce first-piece parts, make offset/tool changes to hit tolerances, and complete paperwork for set-up approval.
  • Load parts, cycle machines, check at designated intervals, and adjust to maintain quality throughout the operation.
  • Keep machines production-ready: monitor fluid levels and perform routine care.
  • Surface grind and re-sharpen arbor teeth as needed.

Schedule & Pay

  • Afternoon/2nd-shift opportunities available.
  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
