We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team at Vista del Mar Hospital.
This is an Exempt position
Pay range: $122,000 - $170,000
Your Impact
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, managing financial reports, ensuring compliance, and supporting the CEO in driving the financial health of the hospital. You will work closely with department leaders to optimize financial processes and maintain accurate financial records.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience as a controller in a healthcare setting is required.
- Behavioral health settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting software, Word, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, month-end close, and financial statement preparation accurately and timely.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review budget reports and forecasts.
- Prepares corporate required reports timely and accurately.
- Supervise accounting staff and provide mentorship and training, and supervises other departments as assigned.
- Maintain internal controls and assist with audit processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial objectives and improve processes.
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance metrics, reporting variances and recommending improvements.
