Job description

Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for establishing, coordinating, implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System that standardizes processes, procedures and criteria.
  • Leads and coordinates team activities to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct management meeting with department heads to establish, delineate, and review company initiatives to coordinate functions and operations between departments to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
  • Reports on the performance of the Quality Management System for Executive Management to review.
  • Identifies critical points in the manufacturing process and defines sampling procedure.
  • Determines types of tests to be performed as well as documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Investigate root causes of warranty-related failures and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain warranty tracking systems to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Interact regularly with Engineering, Manufacturing and Service functions to establish quality standards for raw material, work in progress and finished products.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure quality standards are met during new product development.
  • Engages with material and component suppliers to assess quality performance, identify potential risks and support ongoing supplier development initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives based on warranty feedback and field performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 4 years of Quality Control / Assurance work experience in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of ISO standards and compliance.
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, ASQ, or Lean preferred.
  • Strong presentation and training skills across all organizational levels.
  • Diplomatic communication when addressing quality deviations.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional demeanor that promotes quality culture.
