Job description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director Level Contracts Attorney in the legal industry. The workplace facilitates a remote working setting for those local to Michigan.

  • THIS POSITION IS ONLY CONSIDERING CANDIDATES IN MICHIGAN

This individual is responsible for overseeing contracts management, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing and implementing necessary internal policies and procedures. They also play a key role in maintaining compliance with the organization's governing structures, providing research and advice on legal matters, and managing and leading dispute resolution efforts. This individual will work closely with the management team and external counsel as required.

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in corporate transactions, compliance, contracts and commercial law.
  • Government contracting experience and knowledge of the FAR and DFARS.
  • Export compliance experience and knowledge of the EAR, ITAR and OFAC regulations and trade sanctions.
  • Proficient in managing Federal Government Contracts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in handling and executing Government Contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management and mitigation.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and cost management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
