Job descriptionAt least one year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC. Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA / ARC). ACLS or PALS Certification (AHA / ARC). Additional certifications and licenses may be required. Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills. Physical Abilities : Ability to remain stationary, move about, and handle equipment (50-100 lbs). Mental Requirements : Ability to manage frequent public contact and meet deadlines under pressure. Sensory : Visual acuity and effective communication skills. About the Role
Are you ready to make a difference? Fusion Medical Staffing is on the lookout for a talented Respiratory Therapist for an exciting 13-week travel assignment in beautiful Louisville, KY. This is your chance to impact patients' lives positively while enjoying competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, all backed by a supportive clinical team.
Your Responsibilities
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will :
- Collaborate with physicians to create effective patient treatment plans.
- Examine and interview patients experiencing breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including lung capacity measurements and blood / sputum sample collections.
- Administer treatments using various methods, such as chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications.
- Set up and monitor equipment to ensure optimal oxygen delivery.
- Observe and document patient status and progress.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide top-notch patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on medication usage and equipment operation.
- Take on additional duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice.
