F-16 MTT Software Engineer

Trident Military Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators in Mesa, AZ. The individual's primary responsibility will be to design, develop, document, test, and debug applications software and systems that support the F-16 MTT simulators, especially related to the F-16 MTT Operational Flight Program (OFP) and Center Display Unit (CDU). Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for F-16 MTT simulator software.

Compensation: $120K to $145K

Location: Mesa, AZ

Required Travel: 0 - 10%

What you will do

• Develop software using C, C#, or C++
• Develop software for VxWorks
• Implement and support APIs between internal and external system components
• Apply Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodologies and processes
• Utilize debugging and analysis tools
• Prepare and present findings and recommendations to organization leadership
• Other duties as assigned

What you must have

• 5+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8+ years relevant experience without a degree is acceptable.
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Experience researching new technologies to help solve existing technical problems or shortfalls
• Information Assurance Training (IAT) Level 2 Certification (ex. CompTIA Security+)
• Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade to Special Access Program / Special Access Required (SAP/SAR).
• MUST BE A US CITIZEN.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with distributed simulation software applications, scheduling tools and environment generator applications.
• Experience developing software that produces and consumes distributed simulation protocols (e.g., DIS, HLA)
• Experience developing real-time simulation software.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git Extensions.
• Experience in the DoD simulator community.
• Experience supporting SAP efforts.
