CNC Programmer Lead Machinist

Our Customer has just purchased a new machine called the Mazak INTEGREX i-350HSTGN Auto Gear Multi-Tasking Center; may people are not trained in this but if they have used a Mazak in the past or a similar machine and are willing to be trained in on the current machine we would be open to discussing the opoportunity with you.

In order to qualify you will need to be a Are you an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator with expertise in advanced multi-tasking machining and a passion for precision manufacturing? We are seeking a skilled professional to program, set up, and operate the Mazak INTEGREX i-350HSTGN Auto Gear Multi-Tasking Center. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAMWorks Pro and capable of developing new part programs tailored to the stringent demands of aerospace customers.

Key Responsibilities :

Program Development : Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for the Mazak INTEGREX i-350HSTGN using CAMWorks Pro, ensuring efficient and accurate machining of aerospace parts.

Machine Setup and Operation : Set up and operate the multi-tasking center to manufacture complex components, including gear-cutting and advanced machining operations.

Aerospace Manufacturing Standards : Ensure all parts meet precise aerospace industry specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP compliance).

Collaboration : Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to address design challenges, improve manufacturability, and meet customer requirements.

Inspection and Quality Control : Perform first-article inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and GD&T.

Process Optimization : Evaluate and refine machining processes to improve cycle times, reduce waste, and enhance tool life while maintaining superior quality.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting : Conduct routine maintenance and promptly resolve any machine or programming issues to ensure uninterrupted production.

Required Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of 10 years programming and operating CNC multi-tasking centers,

CAM Software Expertise : Proficient in CAMWorks Pro for developing and optimizing machining programs.

Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of Mazatrol programming, G-code, and M-code.

Aerospace Experience : Demonstrated experience producing parts to aerospace industry standards, including working with materials like titanium, Inconel, and other exotic alloys.

Blueprint Reading : Advanced skills in interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.

Precision Manufacturing : Proven ability to work with tight tolerances and complex geometries in a high-precision manufacturing environment.

Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

Familiarity with automated or robotic systems integrated with CNC machining.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience with advanced machining techniques such as simultaneous 5-axis machining.
