As the Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and manage new software solutions for Water Quality instruments, working onsite in Fort Myers, FL or Fort Worth, TX, under the guidance of the Engineering Manager. You will focus on both user interface and embedded software, collaborating with hardware engineers, IT, and product management to deliver integrated IoT solutions and drive innovation within Watts Water Technologies.
You Will :
Conceptualize, plan, design, analyze, and test software for user interfaces and embedded solutions across various Watts Water products.
Develop and maintain consistent, standardized user interfaces for a range of product offerings.
Define software specifications by analyzing user requirements for system features and functionality.
Test and debug embedded and other software programs using methods such as unit testing, black box testing, manual white box testing, automated testing, and system simulation tools.
Utilize multiple programming languages (C, C++, Python) and IDEs to design and code software.
Work with embedded software, hardware engineers, and product management to develop integrated IoT solutions.
Compile and analyze data, preparing information reports and contributing to technical decision-making.
Support product integration, launch activities, and manufacturing or sales operations.
You Have :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
5+ years of relevant embedded software development experience.
Knowledge of network / device communication protocols.
Experience with revision control, configuration management, continuous integration, and automated testing.
Strong desire to learn new technologies and create innovative solutions.
Proven experience creating technical documentation and presenting complex information.
Experience with cooperative teamwork in a research-oriented environment.
Proficiency in programming embedded microcontrollers (MCU) using multiple IDEs (familiarity with Arduino and Mbed).
Expertise in web / mobile UI / UX design, firmware development, and C / C++ coding.
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 30 pounds. Work Environment :
