SI Utility began in 2022 as a division of Smith Industries and officially launched as its own company in June 2025.

The Materials Manager owns SI Utility's inventory: what is on hand, where it is located, what job it is allocated to, and how it moved each week. The role centers on accuracy, availability, and heat and lot traceability in the inventory system, and works closely with purchasing and the production floor.
