Maverick Currencies is hiring a Lead Funded Trader based in Denton, TX. This is a remote, performance-based opportunity — we fund qualified US traders with up to $400,000 in firm capital and split profits 60% to 90% depending on performance tier.
Trading from Denton has a structural advantage that's easy to underrate. Central time puts the London/New York overlap — the highest-volume window in forex — squarely in mid-morning local, which is one of the cleanest schedules the market offers. For traders building a long-term career, that kind of stable daily rhythm compounds.
Texas is Central time — Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, and Fort Worth traders work the same clock as Chicago. The London close and New York open hit mid-morning, the FX day's peak volume lands in a clean window, and Texas's cost of living means trading capital stretches further than in coastal hubs.
This role pays through profit-share, not salary. You trade firm capital and keep 60% to 90% of the returns you generate, based on your performance tier. Consistently profitable traders typically realize $50,000 to $200,000+ annually. The trade-off is explicit: there is no salary floor. If you are not profitable, you do not earn — the upside is that profitable traders are not capped.
Q: Is this work-from-home or hybrid?
A: It's fully remote. There is no office to come into, no required in-person time, and no geographic limits beyond being US-based. Plenty of our traders have never met the team in person — the work doesn't require it.
Q: What happens if I have a losing month?
A: Losing months happen to every trader, including the consistently profitable ones. Within the firm's risk framework you have room to recover; outside of it (i.e., if you blow risk rules) the account is paused for review. Discipline is what preserves the relationship.
