Technology Officer
The Technology Officer will provide specialized, hands-on technical guidance to startups during the incubation phase of the Energy Innovation Lab program. They will support early-stage energy entrepreneurs in building, testing, and iterating their solutions through one-on-one mentorship, sprint participation, and lab facilitation. Working closely with university partners and technical advisors, the Officer ensures that startups' MVPs meet engineering and market standards and are technically validated ahead of the acceleration phase.
Key responsibilities include technical mentorship and product guidance, sprint participation and feedback, lab access & testing coordination, training and workshops, and evaluation and demo readiness.
Deliverables include technical evaluation notes and feasibility input for each startup during MVP development, sprint-based feedback notes and mentorship logs, final technical readiness report per startup ahead of selection for the acceleration phase, and contribution to Demo Day support and technical validation presentation coaching.
Required qualifications include an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, minimum of 7 years of experience working in technical product development or clean energy systems, at least 5 years of experience mentoring or advising startups in prototyping, MVP development, or testing, and prior work experience in Lebanon's entrepreneurship or clean energy ecosystem preferred.
