At Talley Construction, we invest in our people, by offering competitive wages, benefits, and the opportunity to grow a career. / ppIf youre looking for a challenging career with growth potential and commitment to being the best in the industry, come join our family! / ph3Position Overview / h3pThis is a highly skilled position involving the operation of heavy equipment on road, site, or highway construction. / ph3Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) / h3ulliMust possess a solid understanding of all aspects of the construction industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, job specifications, oil consistencies, compaction, and other details related to grading / liliProperly follow all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment / liliAttendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level / liliAttitude / cooperation : Always maintaining courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and public. / li / ulh3Qualifications / h3pEducation / Experience / pulliHigh school degree or equivalent is preferred but not required / liliMust have a minimum of 3-5 years experience operating heavy road construction equipment / li / ulpWork Requirements / pulliPhysical ability to operate equipment under temperature extremes and for extended hours of time. Normal shift is 8-12 hours / liliMay oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to the equipment / liliAbility to operate or initiative to learn to operate other equipment required / liliAbility to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes. Overtime work required. Out of town / county / or state work may be required / liliAbility to follow instructions and practice safety standards per Company Safety Policy requirements / liliAbility to adhere to PPE (personal protective equipment) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition as supplied by company / liliRequires riding to and from job sites.
