Job Title : Water Resources Engineer
Job Description
Our client is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer in our Virginia Beach, Richmond, and Vienna, Virginia offices. You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of programs and projects, including municipal, state, and federal / DOD projects. We currently have a need for project experience within our Infrastructure Market Sector, providing expertise and guidance on water resources, storm drainage and stormwater management design, flood studies, culvert design and HEC-RAS analysis, bridge hydraulics, hydrologic & hydraulic modeling. This motivated individual will provide technical analysis and design services on a multitude of design projects as part of the dynamic Infrastructure Market Sector.
Hard Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent related degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-education experience in water resource engineering and / or civil engineering projects
- Graduate-Level Degree in Water Resources or passage of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam required
- Proven track record of delivering quality projects for a wide range of clients
- Experience with land disturbance permits and storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP)
- Ability to design complex open and closed storm drainage systems and stormwater management facilities
- Experience in CAD platforms and stormwater / hydraulic design software such as PondPack, FlowMaster, GEOPACK Drainage & Civil 3D
- Ability to provide support on projects that may extend beyond the typical work week
