Job Title: Environmental Compliance Coordinator.
Location: Virginia Beach, VA.

High Level Project Overview:

Ensures company compliance with environmental, chemical, waste management, and permit regulations at various locations in the Eastern Region of Virginia, associated with the client's Electric Distribution operational teams.
Share responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of work sites, to comply with regulatory and company Environmental, Health and Safety standards and procedures.
Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers.
Support the client's employees and other contracted staff, inspect, or assess, and provide recommendations regarding environmental compliance issues to personnel responsible for compliance tasks and management.
Provide environmental training to site personnel in handling of chemicals and waste materials, spill prevention, erosion, and sediment control and other environmental compliance topics and requirements.

Top Required Skills:

Environmental Field Experience.
Erosion & Sediment Control and Stormwater Certifications.
Experience related to environmental regulations and applicable environmental requirements for environmental scope and permits.

Ability to work independently and in field environments, as well as in a team setting.

Required Education:

yr degree, Bachelors in an Environmental discipline.

Are any certification required:

Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector and Stormwater Inspector Certification.

Preferred Years of Experience:

Minimum of years of experience hands on in environmental field work handling work for projects related to environmental requirements for environmental scope and permits.
