The Director of Partnership Development is a member of the Teachstone Policy and

Partnership Development team and is responsible for prospecting, cultivating, and

establishing new strategic relationships with decision-makers and thought leaders in the

United States' south central region, and opening doors that lead to successful closed

opportunities by Regional Directors. This role focuses on the development of secure, long-

term, and successful partnerships with enterprise-level clients, as well as supporting

Regional Directors in achieving their territory and individual quota. You will be working

closely across Teachstone's sales and client success teams to ensure outstanding

alignment of Teachstone's products with our clients' needs through the cultivation and

establishment of new strategic relationships, and ensuring seamless implementation

handoff across departments. The Director of Partnership Development creates excitement,

facilitates progress, and enables scale to improve early childhood education systems at the

district and state level and exceeds client expectations.

System (CLASS) nationwide and around the globe. Developed through years of

research, the CLASS observation tool measures the interactions between teachers and

children, which have been shown to drive learning and lifelong achievement.

Role Description (Use bullets in this section to break down the activities of the

role into statements)

The ability to create and facilitate high-level conversations with education and

policy state leaders, organization executive directors, and school district

administrators and leaders.

Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic clients, supporting client needs

through thought partnership, strategy development, and proposal delivery to

support long-term goals for state and regional early childhood and education

systems.

Identify and capitalize on long-term and emerging relationships to create revenue

leaders.

Fulfill annual territory quota and support Sales team Regional Directors in the

south central region - defined by states within the region bordered by Texas,

Florida, North Carolina, and Nebraska - in meeting their individual quota.

  • Develop and build commercial partnerships with strategic clients.
  • Engage industry thought leaders in tactical conversations to strengthen market

position, including supporting the facilitation of the CLASS Advisory Council and

state leaders Community of Practice.

Understand client needs, challenges, and objectives working closely in

conjunction with internal and external stakeholders.

Work with members of the Strategy and Operations teams to develop and

implement territory growth plans that identify short / long term objectives &

strategies in the expansion of geographies, partners, and service lines reaching

required revenue targets.

Work with Vice President of Policy and Partnership Development to implement

targeted engagement plans that expand Teachstone's client footprint and carry

out go-to-market strategies aligned with policy and program goals in territory.

Work with other Partnership Directors to support a coordinated national strategy

across territories that enables efficient use of resources, strategy alignment, and

sharing of best practices.

Lead planning for cross-departmental Sales strategy within territory and

coordinate closely on account mapping and opportunity planning to grow

business base and support product implementation.

  • Serve as mentor for Regional Sales Directors within territory.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the Company's products and services,

as well as awareness of competitors in assigned geography.

Maintain a thorough understanding of early childhood federal, state and grant

revenue opportunities.

  • Lead the development of relationships in parent and sibling organizations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the south central region, as well as any

other meetings and events, as needed, outside the south central region - attend

select conferences and events, representing Teachstone, supporting Sales team

efforts, and speaking and presenting as requested.

Support colleagues in their endeavors where necessary-teamwork / collaboration

and team success is a key component at Teachstone.

Take advantage of available training resources-classroom, fieldwork, self-study,

etc.-to improve skills, gain expertise on Teachstone's products and services,

and keep up with trends in early childhood education.

Qualifications :

  • Proven track record of closing high-level contracting opportunities through sales
  • 5 years experience in supporting early childhood decision makers within

comprehensive early childhood systems at the district, state, or national level.

Proven communication, critical thinking, self-awareness, organization, project,

and leadership skills.

  • Located in a South or lower Central U.S. state (no relocation funding available)
  • Established knowledge of state early childhood and education systems in

Southern Central U.S. region

  • Proficiency with CRM system, preferably Salesforce
  • Proficiency with Google tools (Gmail, sheets, docs, etc.) and video conferencing

i.e., Zoom

  • Excellent research skills
  • Strong team leadership skills, including cross-collaborative efforts that achieve

agreed-upon goals

  • Desire to work independently, with attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues,

students, and clients

Experienced and comfortable working in a high growth organization; capacity to

develop policies and procedures that ensure success in a rapidly growing

organization

Flexible and willingness to travel, as needed

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Connections with leaders in the Early Childhood space
  • Understanding of CLASS products and services
  • Understanding of Child Development Associate Credential
