General Responsibilities :
We are looking for a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Milwaukee. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and strong technical team, build and maintain client relationships, and continue growing our consulting engineering practice.
Based just 10 minutes from downtown Milwaukee, our strong team of professionals has been serving area clients for more than 20 years on some of the biggest and most challenging projects in our market.
You will provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of impactful projects, from stadiums and roadways to bridges, buildings, and solar installations.
On a daily basis, the successful applicant will use their geotechnical engineering skills to ensure projects remain compliant, safe, on budget, and on track.

Pay range : 65k 100K commensurate with experience
Essential Roles and Responsibilities :
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects of varying complexity under the supervision of an Authorized Project Reviewer, while adhering to Terracon’s quality standards.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, and / or coordinate detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects and work closely with senior-level Professional Engineer to gain project management and engineering experience.
- Interact directly with client and project team on developing scope of services and communicating project progress.
- Evaluate laboratory and field data and make design, engineering, and construction recommendations under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 0-3 years’ experience.
- Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) required.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
