Job Summary :
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a wide range of machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
2. Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, or issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
3. Repairs : Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty parts or components to restore equipment to operational status.
4. Inspections : Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems or maintenance needs, and report findings to supervisors.
5. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and any other relevant data.
6. Safety : Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards, and take appropriate measures to create a safe working environment.
7. Emergency Response : Be available for on-call or emergency maintenance services as needed.
8. Inventory Management : Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance work.
9. Collaboration : Collaborate with other departments to provide technical support and expertise in maintaining equipment and facilities.
10. Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements and make recommendations to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; some positions may require technical or trade school certification.
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems, depending on the specific job requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to use various tools and equipment.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
