FinOps Consultant

Job Description :

Infosys is seeking a FinOps Engineer This individual will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across the technology organization and the business to ensure proper coordination and execution of activities related to the delivery of technology projects.

Essential duties will include managing governance around financial processes, articulating, and helping to define project direction and priorities, communicating project status and issues, and management, and actively acting to reduce risk and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications :

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh NC, Bridgewater NJ, Phoenix AZ or be willing to relocate to the area.

This position may require travel in the US.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 11 years of Information Technology experience.
• Knowledge of Cloud Billing Models, Reserved Instance, and spot Instances
• Hands on with Cloud technology - AWS / GCP / Azure
• Experience with One FinOps tool
• Governance & Cost Optimization
• Experience in infra-automation tools like Terraform and general programming languages : Ansible, Java, python, Golang
• U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor currently.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Planning and Co-ordination skills.
• Good Communication and Analytical skills.
• Ability to work in team in diverse / multiple stakeholder environment.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
• Exposure to one of the following :
• Trusted Advisor, AWS Inspector, AWS Config, AWS Cost Optimizer, Guard Duty, and AWS Organization for Governance role
• Azure Pricing calculator, Azure Cost Management, Azure Advisor, Azure reservations, Spending limits, Resize underutilized VMs, Azure Savings plan as part of implementing best practices
• Any FinOps tool Cloud Certification
• Understanding of licensing models

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
