How A Systems Administrator Senior Will Make An Impact :
- Manages the organization’s computer systems’ workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software
- Provides technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
- Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues
- Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software
- Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
- Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
- Ensures workstation / server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
- Evaluates existing systems and assists with planning long-term strategies
What You'll Need To Succeed :
Education : DoD IAT Level II Certification and a B.S. in Network Administration, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other IT related discipline.
Additional years of related experience may be substituted for a 4-year degree.
- Required Experience : 3+ years of related experience
- Required Technical Skills : Experience with Windows Server and Workstation administration, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange / Outlook / Office / O, VMware, comfortable working in a multi-vendor network with a large array of COTS applications, experience maintaining file / print / application servers,
- Security Clearance Level : TS / SCI w / CI Polygraph
- Required Skills and Abilities : Ability to work independently under general supervision
- Preferred Skills : Experience with monitoring SIEM solutions, HP thin client administration, patching and backup technologies, AWS and / or Azure cloud environments
- Location : On Customer Site in Chantilly, VA
- US Citizenship Required
