Financial Assistant 2
Job Description
FINANCIAL ASSISTANT II , Mechanical Engineering (MechE), to provide financial and office support for general accounting.
- Will process procurement requisitions and verify credit card purchases on thirty to forty cards; support the reconciliation of over 500 department and faculty accounts on a monthly basis;
- process accounts receivable and other billing / invoicing, adjustments, and changes; coordinate the mailing and distribution of course assignment letters;
- coordinate student group budgeting and expense tracking; create and update reports on faculty funding; maintain support staff Roles authorizations;
- assist with the upkeep of space, including overseeing the maintenance of office equipment and setting up and maintaining common areas;
exercise confidentiality of classified information based on office protocols; perform other administrative, financial, and clerical duties as necessary, including maintain paper files, distributing mail, and photocopying.
Job Requirements
- REQUIRED : high school diploma; at least three years of experience in accounting or finance; full working knowledge of general office practices and procedures;
- excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; experience with paying invoices, ordering supplies, account reconciliations, and expense reimbursements;
- ability to work effectively with people at all levels, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently and as part of a team, prioritize and problem solve, and maintain confidentiality;
and advanced-level computer software skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
PREFERRED : associate’s degree.
