ABLEMKR is a trusted provider of skilled tradespeople in the construction industry. As a Water Mitigation Technician at ABLEMKR, you will be responsible for responding to water damage emergencies and providing effective mitigation services to our clients.
Your knowledge of water damage restoration techniques and ability to work efficiently will be essential in ensuring the successful restoration of properties.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls for water damage mitigation
- Assess the extent of water damage and develop a mitigation plan
- Extract water using pumps, vacuums, and other equipment
- Remove and dispose of damaged materials, such as carpets and drywall
- Set up drying equipment and monitor humidity levels
- Apply antimicrobial treatments to prevent mold growth
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers and electricians, as needed for repairs
- Document work activities and complete required paperwork
Requirements
- IICRC certification preferred
- Prior experience in water damage mitigation or a related field
- Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with industry guidelines and regulations for water mitigation
- Ability to effectively use water extraction and drying equipment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and materials
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
