General Purpose of the Position

We are seeking a Director of Franchise Development to manage the franchise development and sales process with candidates through active networking and other methods.

Seeking an individual who is used to awarding franchises to single-unit operators in non-food or service industries.

Primary Objectives

  • Responsible for meeting sales goals.
  • Work with new incoming lead sources, broker networks, web portals and industry relationships.
  • Actively seek qualified leads in a proactive manner.
  • Coordinate with Marketing team to ensure most effective channels covered for targeted markets.

Essential Job Functions (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Take full ownership of the provided leads; build strong rapport and relationships with prospective franchisees Walk prospects through the sales process (6 Stages of due diligence) initial phone conversations, disclosure, FDD review, Discover Day, and finally request franchise agreement.
  • Manage the inbound process for leads into our CRM. Cultivate qualified prospects into motivated and successful franchisees and qualify candidates financially.
  • Ensure a positive experience and first impression to all prospects Be a brand ambassador with excitement and enthusiasm!
  • Host prospective franchisees for Discovery Days held in virtual meetings - Act as liaison between franchisees, contracts, and operations departments to ensure a smooth process as they come on board as franchisees.
  • Able to influence others, identify and overcome objections. Follow up with all inquiries.
  • Leverage relationships and networking tools to find the right candidates.
  • Effectively present the Huntington franchise business proposition to all qualified buyers.
  • Shepard promising candidates into the sales process through coordinating with Franchise Business Executives.
  • Be a brand ambassador with excitement and enthusiasm.
  • This role is remote. From time to time there are required events to attend with brokers, trade shows or networking events and corporate meetings in our NJ headquarters or elsewhere.
  • Manage candidates through the franchise transfer process.
  • Be a team player both internally and externally to the organization.
  • The Director of Franchise Development is a key member of the organization and has ultimate responsibility for bringing successful franchisees into the company.

Working Conditions

  • Based out of a home office, maintain a quiet environment and able to work independently in an unsupervised environment.
  • Even though meetings are conducted online via Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, business appropriate attire is required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk;

use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
