Advocate
Job Description
- Advocate and coordinate tribal, federal and or state services to victims of crime and their families; restore dignity to victims and confidence in the criminal and civil justice system;
- maintain confidentiality. Refer to safe shelters. Consult with tribal, federal and / or state prosecutor and other agencies applicable to determine the full extent of the crime;
assess the victim's needs. Support victims throughout the rial process. Ability to network and maintain a good working relationship with co-workers, service providers.
Computer skills. Carry out required activities per grant requirements; collect and maintain statistical records; provide community outreach awareness and education regarding domestic / family violence, sexual assault / abuse, child abuse / neglect, teen dating violence, elder abuse and stalking.
