centennialpeaks.com Centennial Peaks Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Utilization Management Coordinator join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.
The UM coordinator evaluates patient medical records to determine severity of patient’s illness and the appropriateness of level of care.
The UM coordinator serves as liaison for patients and the facility with insurance companies, negotiates and advocates for patient length of stay and level of care.
They will also coordinate utilization review activities with other departments to ensure authorization from insurance is received for services provided by the facility.
Ideally candidate would be available 8a-4p Monday’s and Tuesday’s with availability on other days as needed. Possible opportunity to move into full-time position.

Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Human Services field preferred. RN, LCSW, LPC, LMFT preferred Strong analytical, organizational, verbal and written skills required.
Prior experience and knowledge of psychiatric care, utilization review, insurance reimbursement procedures, and the DSM-IV.
Experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management
