  • THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE 1-2 MONTHS ONSITE IN FRANKFORT, KY FOR TRAINING, THEN WILL BE 100% REMOTE They do not want someone with technical writing experience because Tech Writers get too in the weeds on the technical side for what this positions needs. They need someone with solid business experience and proven writing skills. *Description : * Our client is seeking a Documentation Analyst with experience in developing and maintaining documentation relating State and / or Federal reporting, policies / procedures, and / or IT system requirements.. The selected person will : * Develop and maintain Information Technology-related documentation for federal financial proposals (similar to grants) and planning documents within required timelines. * Work closely with agency management, project teams, and subject matter experts to gain an understanding of project and related requirements to develop appropriate document content. * Facilitate and coordinate document review meetings for submission to state and federal sponsors. * Organize material and complete writing assignments according to agency standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. * Perform technical and detailed writing, editing, and proofreading of required supporting documentation. * Utilize a combination of computer and critical thinking skills. * Exercise professional confidentiality and discretion. Basic Qualifications : * 3+ years of document development experience. Required Qualifications : * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience. * Have exceptional written and oral communication skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Word. * Experience in the development of documents based on information obtained through requirements gathering. * Significant writing, proofreading, and editing skills. * Experience utilizing time management capabilities in high-stress writing environments. * Must be well organized and possess excellent team building skills. Preferred Qualifications : * Prior writing experience of financial request documents and / or justifications in a governmental environment. * Working knowledge of government regulations as they pertain to the grant proposal and advance planning document writing process. * Prior experience preparing healthcare information technology proposals or working in the healthcare technology environment. * Prior experience in a procurement environment Key Competencies : * Ability to function and meet deadlines in a high-stress environment. * Organizational and planning skills. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Information gathering and monitoring skills. * Problem analysis and problem solving skills. * Judgment and decision-making ability. * Initiative and Adaptability. * Attention to detail and accuracy.
